Baton Instructor & Owner:
Jacinda Miller is excited to have your child enrolled in baton twirling classes. I have always said that I would not be who I am without baton twirling. I learned more than how to twirl a baton; I learned public speaking skills, interviewing skills, confidence, poise, and so much more! I was lucky enough to have parents that really supported my twirling so thanks mom and dad! The support of my entire family helped me in winning the Illinois State Solo Championship, Midwest Modeling Championship, and the Governor’s Hostess for the Illinois State Fair. After my competitive career came to a close I took an adventure to the University of Arizona and was a member of the twirling team. Eventually I was selected as the Captain of the Twirling Team. I earned a Bachelor of Science in Family Studies with an emphasis in Child Development. Later, I returned to Capella University and earned a Master of Science in Organization and Management.
I have been teaching for over 15 years. I have also enjoyed a career in higher education, working at several local colleges in the Admission, Student Service Department, and as an instructor. I continue to teach classes at the college level while teaching children this great sport! I have coached thousands of children to improve their twirling skills as well as their confidence, self-esteem, and physical fitness. In 2002, I began the Minnesota Magic Competitive Teams. Our twirlers are improving every day and you should look for them to perform around our community! Many of our twirlers have won State, Regional and National Titles. It is my greatest accomplishment to see my students achieve their goals!

Dance Instructor: Jennifer Becker
Jennie graduated with at B.A. in Theater/Dance and Biology from Luther College in 2010. While at Luther she was able to intensely study contact improvisation with Jane Hawley and Amanda Hamp. After graduation Jennie relocated to Chicago to explore her passion in dance. In Chicago she has been fortunate to work with Kyle Vincent Terry's dance/theater company The Massive, Kathryn Burrow's Narrative Dance Company The Monocle Eclectic, and Chloe Jensen's company Aerial Dance Chicago. Jennie trained for many years in ballet, jazz, modern, tap, musical theater, and pointe in a studio in the Twin Cities. There she learned to have a love for all dance and furthered her training in ballroom, latin, and swing dancing. Jennie is very excited to be able to teach and inspire the dancers who share a passion in such an amazing art form!
Instructor: Aubrie Riste
Dance has always been my passion. I started dancing at the age of 2 and fell in love. When I was old enough I joined the Competition team and started assisting classes. Throughout my dancing years I have had classes in ballet, modern, jazz, lyrical, tap, hip hop, Indian and African. I just couldn’t get enough dancing! In elementary school I wanted to do something other than just dance but I loved dance and wanted to find something that complimented that, I found Baton Twirling!
I started twirling baton when I was seven years old. I went on to join a competitive baton team where I twirled for over 14 years, ten of which my team attended the national competition held at Notre Dame University in South Bend, Indiana. I have won many state and national titles both individually and with my team. I look forward to dancing and twirling with you soon!
Our sport has continued for generations because young twirlers develop a passion for teaching new twirlers! Jacinda selects her very best twirlers to student teach. First the student joins Jacinda to learn the curriculum and classroom management. After developing a thorough knowledge, the student teacher will begin to teach classes by her/himself. Our goal in every class is to help those twirlers that love baton develop their skills so that they may join our competitive and performance teams
