Pre-National Team

Pre-National Team is a great transition from our Recreational Classes to a Competition Team. Parents can sometimes have a negative impression of what is involved in a competition dance or baton twirling team due to what is seen in the media. While there are negative experiences and very expensive teams available for those that choose that, we work very hard to introduce competition in a way that focuses on learning and improving in a positive environment for both kids and parents. Here are some of the key ways that we achieve this with our Pre-National Team:

  • Local Competitions Only - no expensive traveling competitions with hotel & food

  • One Costume Only - one costume and depending on the class, we sometimes compete 2 routines. Your teacher will provide information on what your child's class will be doing.

  • Baton Twirling Competitions tend to be less expensive than competitions in the dance industry. Typically, our Pre-National competition fee is $20 per routine (max of 2 routines).

  • One Saturday Morning - our Pre-National Team competes at our Frozen Frenzy competition in January and a typical timeframe is 8:00 am - 11:00 am.

  • Pre-National Team does perform in both of our recitals.

Pre-National Team is a great way to try competition twirling with less commitment of time and money. If your twirler is looking to dive deeper into the sport of baton twirling then consider adding a Competition Solo Class to your schedule. Competition Solo Class and individual competition can be a fun way to do more in the sport of baton twirling and learn valuable lifelong skills such as confidence and presentation.
